Skanstes City Signs Long-Term Collaboration Agreement with ERGO

The Skanstes City business center and insurance company ERGO have signed a new long-term partnership agreement, which will establish a modern ERGO headquarters and customer service branch. The office space will cover more than 1,800 m², designed to meet the latest workplace trends and ERGO’s operational needs.
A Commitment to Innovation and Sustainability
Andris Kozlovskis, Board Member of Skanstes City, commented:
*“ERGO is one of our long-standing partners and one of the most prominent tenants in our business center. We are honored that by choosing to continue this collaboration long-term, ERGO has recognized and valued Skanstes City’s ongoing development and the investments made into office renovations.
Our shared goal is to create a first-class and modern office environment for ERGO, adhering to the latest workspace and sustainability standards. The design phase will enhance functionality, workspace efficiency, and overall comfort, while also ensuring a diverse range of office functions.
Additionally, we plan to redesign entrance halls, create a new conference center, and significantly improve the outdoor spaces. By 2025, Skanstes City will become an even more comfortable, secure, and diverse work environment for ERGO and other tenants.”*
ERGO: A Strategic Move for Growth
Aija Medne, Head of ERGO Latvian Branches, explained:
*“Skanstes City has been ERGO’s headquarters for 12 years, and we have decided to remain here while slightly relocating within the Skanstes City quarter.
Over time, we have recognized the need for office space on a single floor, which will improve internal collaboration, streamline communication, and strengthen teamwork. The new office will be modern, ergonomic, and sustainable, providing a better work environment for employees and ensuring operational efficiency.
A key factor in our decision is the strategic location of the office complex—it is easily accessible, and Skanstes district, known as Riga’s modern center, is continuously improving and developing.”*
Skanstes City’s Competitive Advantage in the Office Market
Olga Mihailova, Associate Director of Colliers Baltics Office Agency, noted:
*“The office market is highly competitive, and ERGO’s decision to remain at Skanstes City and renovate its office is a testament to the high value of the project’s development and quality improvements.
The long-term agreement is based on a strong, trusted relationship between tenant and landlord. We were pleased to represent ERGO during negotiations and congratulate both parties on the successful signing of the contract. We look forward to a smooth office renovation process!”*
