Skanstes City Initiates the Development of a New Conference Center

In response to increasing demand, “Skanstes City” is launching the development of a new conference center at Skanstes Street 50, featuring high-level technical solutions, larger spaces for bigger audiences, a completely new design, and enhanced amenities. The project’s goal is not only to provide added value to existing tenants in the district but also to become a significant venue in Riga’s business environment.
The new center will be designed in line with modern workplace requirements, ensuring not only comfort but also flexibility, high-quality audio and video equipment, interactive presentation systems, video conferencing capabilities, and fast and secure Wi-Fi connectivity. With spaces accommodating between 25 to 120 guests, the conference center will be suitable for any event—from small meetings to large corporate gatherings.
A key project priority is guest well-being during long work sessions and maintaining maximum productivity throughout all-day events. Accordingly, the new center will feature ergonomic furniture, suitable lighting, air quality management, temperature control, and extensive catering options. Additional innovations will include private phone call booths, a fully equipped podcast studio, and relaxation zones. Easy access to the event venue will be ensured by the district’s spacious parking lot with 1,300 spaces.
“In our daily work with tenants and the existing conference center facilities, we’ve recognized that access to conference rooms is a crucial component in an office complex of this scale. That’s why we dedicated significant time to planning a new, modern, and well-designed space that integrates multiple core functions. Construction is actively underway, and we hope to open the new facilities to tenants and visitors already this summer. This project is also a key part of the modernization phase of Skanstes City, aimed at creating a top-tier complex of spaces, environment, and conveniences for office needs,” says project author Andris Kozlovskis.
To visualize the project idea and implement the interior design, the architectural firm Lauder Architects was engaged. With this project, “Skanstes City” continues to strengthen its position as one of the leading and most dynamic office districts in Riga, offering modern, sustainable solutions for companies and their employees.
